About Me
My name is Elizabeth Espinal, and I am in my final semester at the University of North Texas where I will earn a Bachelor of Music Education. I am deeply committed to the art of band and its ability to develop discipline, collaboration, leadership, and problem solving in its students.
My academic preparation at UNT has equipped me with a strong foundation in pedagogy, musicianship, and instructional practice. In addition, my professional experiences have provided me with extensive hands-on teaching opportunities, allowing me to apply my skills in real-world classroom settings.

Work Experience
Marching Band Technician
Denton High School
07/25 - 10/25
During my time as a marching technician at Denton High School, I taught marching and music technique during marching band rehearsals. My perspective on the ground enabled me to correct specific details such as foot technique and instrument carriage. I was able to repair and maintenance several instruments to return them to peak condition.

I was a Little Wing Instructor at School of Rock. This position involved teaching group music lessons to elementary aged students. I taught beginner music theory and introduced my students to all of the Rock instruments. I also, directed a week of summer camp where I was responsible for planning the week according to the curriculum and running the camp.

In this position, I was responsible for providing appropriate feedback to enhance the band's performance. I assisted the director's during daily rehearsals as well as competitions.
STEM & Music Instructor
Little STEM Academy

As an instructor at Little STEM Academy, I co-taught STEM and music to elementary and pre-school aged students. A focus of this school was the integration of technology in our lessons so I designed lesson plans that met that goal.
Camp Counselor
St. Luke's Summer Camp

I spent two summers at St. Luke's Summer Camp. By my second summer, I was a head counselor and was in charge of the entire 8-10 age group. I taught students how to play a variety of indoor and outdoor games, how to do arts and crafts, and more. We went swimming daily and went on weekly field trips where safety and efficiency were top priority.

The Green Brigade
I spent my first season with the Green Brigade as a flute player and a member of the Equipment committee. In my second season with the Green Brigade, I marched mellophone and served as Head of the Equipment Committee.

The UNT WBDI chapter is dedicated to providing professional development opportunities as well as building community for all UNT students. I served as Treasurer of this student organization for one year.

Mu Phi Epsilon
Treasurer
MPE is an International Professional Music Fraternity. UNT's collegiate chapter of MPE is dedicated to fostering music, friendship, and harmony within the college of music. I served as Treasurer for one year where I rehabilitated the chapter's finances and organized several successful fundraisers.

Kappa Kappa Psi
KKY is a national honorary service fraternity and our collegiate chapter is dedicated to the advancement of the mission of Wind Studies at UNT. I joined in my freshman year and served on a variety of committees and participated in several service events.
